San Diego Teacher Found Guilty of Sex With Student

A San Diego teacher was found guilty of having sex with her male student and sentenced to two years in prison on Friday, July 29, 2016.

Toni Sutton, 38 years old, was convicted on two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor. Additionally, she will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life.

The relationship began when the minor was 15 years old and lasted for several months. After her arrest she was placed on administrative leave while her case was pending.

Her defense attorney requested that she receive probation, but the request was denied by the San Diego Superior Court Judge overseeing the case.
